AUTUMN PLACE IMPROVEMENTS DELIVERING FOR CASEY

Families in Casey will have access to the new Autumn Place Family and Community Centre and Park thanks to investment from the Andrews Labor Government to support the growing community.

Member for Dandenong, Gabrielle Williams today joined local families, community members and Casey City Council to officially open the new Autumn Place Family and Community Centre and Park.

The $4.68 million project was delivered by Casey City Council in partnership with the Labor Government and includes a $3.6 million contribution from the 2016-17 Growing Suburbs Fund.

The Autumn Place Family and Community Centre and Park Improvement project has provided a greatly needed community hub that brings family and community services together under one roof.

The new facility boosts four-year-old kindergarten capacity for the Doveton and Eumemmering communities, alongside community space for community service organisations and groups.

As well as the kindergarten, the new facility includes a boost for maternal and child health with two new consulting rooms, a large multipurpose community room and an upgraded community park.

More than $25 million has been invested in Growing Suburbs Fund projects in the Casey City Council for 16 projects, including the Chalcot Lodge Childrens’ Centre Redevelopment, the New Autumn Place Family and Community Centre and the Casey Cycling Precinct.
