DANDENONG NORTH PRIMARY GETS RELOCATABLE CLASSROOMS
Dandenong North Primary School has classroom space for 100 more students, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.
Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Dandenong Gabrielle Williams today announced that Dandenong North Primary School has received a brand new double-storey, four classroom building.
The new building is fully insulated, features double glazed windows and can fit 100 students.
It is all part of the Labor Government’s $63.6 million investment to build and refurbish hundreds of relocatable buildings for schools across Victoria.
Building new relocatable buildings across Victoria is not only creating more room for staff and students but also boosting jobs.
The relocatable building program has created more than 190 Victorian jobs over the last year with this building constructed by portable building manufacturer ATCO at their factory in Hallam.
The new classroom facility and other similar projects around Victoria form part of the Government’s $2.5 billion commitment to build new and upgraded school infrastructure.
The Government is building 56 new schools and has more than 1,000 facility upgrades in the construction pipeline, creating more than 5,000 construction jobs.
